How to run this board

This is Halloween trivia for a costume party rather than a classroom. The columns cover horror film history, the classic monsters and where they came from, spooky literature, urban legends and folklore, the origins of Halloween itself, and a column of costumes and candy.

Put the board on the TV and let guests buzz in from their phones, which suits a party where people are holding drinks and wearing gloves or masks. Teams by costume theme can be fun if a few groups came matched.

A good house rule: anyone whose costume matches the category - a vampire during Classic Monsters, say - gets to double their score on one clue. It rewards effort without deciding the game.
