Questions people ask

How do I make my own Jeopardy game?

Press “Make a board” and you're in the editor — no sign-up, no download. You get a 6 × 5 grid; click a square, type the clue and the answer, and repeat. When you're done, open the presenter view on a TV or share your screen, and it shows a game code your players type into their phones.

Is it really free?

Yes. A full 6 × 5 board with 30 clues, unlimited players, buzzers, live scoring, Final Jeopardy and the presenter view costs nothing and doesn't need an account. Pro is $10 a year and adds AI-written boards, image and video clues, spreadsheet import, larger boards, Daily Doubles, private boards and a dashboard.

How do players buzz in?

They open the play link on their own phone and type the 5-letter game code — no app to install and no account. When the host opens the buzzers, everyone gets a big buzz button. The first press to reach the database wins, and everybody sees the same name.

How many people can play at once?

As many as you like, on the free plan included. Each person plays on their own phone, so the practical limit is how many people fit in the room.

Can I use it in a classroom?

Yes — review games are what most boards get built for. Students need nothing but a phone or laptop and the game code. If you want to reuse boards year after year, Pro keeps them all in one dashboard and lets you import a whole board from a spreadsheet.

Do I need to download anything?

No. It runs in a browser on the presenter's screen and on every player's phone. There's nothing to install on either end.

Can I save a board and use it again?

Yes. Every board you make gets a private link that keeps working — save it and you can come back and edit or replay the board any time. On Pro, boards are also collected in a dashboard so you don't have to keep track of links.
