Order of operations mistakes are stubborn, so this board isolates each step before combining them. Early categories drill parentheses, exponents, and the left-to-right rules on their own; later ones mix everything into full expressions and ask students to spot the error in a worked problem.

The error-spotting category is the one to save for last, since it sparks the best arguments. Require teams to name the step where the work went wrong, not just the right answer, and you will hear exactly who understands the sequence.
