How to run this board

Time and measurement share a board here because they share a skill: reading a tool carefully. Students read analog and digital clocks, work out elapsed time, count days and months on a calendar, and choose the right unit for measuring how long, how heavy, or how much something holds.

A teaching clock with movable hands and a ruler at each table make the clock and length columns hands-on. When a team answers a time clue, have someone set the class clock to match before you move on.

The Which Unit column is a good place for discussion; ask teams to explain why they would not measure a pencil in miles, and award a bonus point for a clear reason.
