How to run this board

Beginning French students juggle new sounds and new spellings at once, so low-stakes review matters twice as much. This board rehearses first-semester vocabulary: greetings, numbers, colors, family members, cafe and food words, and the calendar.

Spelling is the quiet challenge in French; consider making one category answerable only by spelling the word aloud, letter by letter. If phones are already out for buzzing, resist the urge to allow translation apps; the game only works when the recall is theirs.
